Simple NE5532 Stereo Preamplifier

Need a simple stereo preamplifier for a set of power amplifiers? Here's the solution. Based on an NE5532 dual opamp, this preamp will provide around 5.5 of voltage gain together with a volume control to pickle any power amplifiers you wish. R1, ZD1 and R2, ZD2 provide a regulated voltage supply of +/-12V to U1, the NE5532, so the DC input (J1) can be integrated with the power amplifiers main "high" supply voltage, without any need to regulate it down.
