Compact Motion Controller for Competitive Robotics
HMotion is a purpose-built controller PCB designed to simplify and strengthen robotics projects where reliability, speed, and compactness matter most. Created with competition-focused robots in mind, such as line followers and mini sumo robots, this board brings motor driving, sensor interfacing, and control logic together into a single, well-organized platform.
At the heart of HMotion lies the ATmega328P-AU, making the board fully Arduino-compatible while still offering the flexibility of a custom hardware design. For motion control, it integrates a dual-channel IFX9201SG motor driver, capable of handling demanding loads with stable performance. This allows precise control of two DC motors without the need for external driver modules, significantly reducing wiring and points of failure.
Power handling is optimized for real-world robotics use. The board supports 2S to 4S LiPo batteries, making it suitable for both lightweight and higher-power robot builds. An onboard USB-C interface provides a modern and convenient way to upload firmware and handle serial communication during development and debugging.
HMotion is also designed with competition rules and usability in mind. A 3-position DIP switch offers up to eight different configuration combinations, enabling quick behavior changes without reprogramming. Eight dedicated sensor input ports, each with 5V and GND headers, make connecting line sensors, distance sensors, or other peripherals straightforward. Two fully programmable status LEDs provide instant visual feedback for modes, errors, or states during operation. For mini sumo competitions, the board includes native support for official start/stop modules, ensuring compliance with competition standards while keeping the wiring clean and robust.
Overall, the HMotion Board is an all-in-one robotics control solution that reduces complexity, improves reliability, and accelerates development. Whether used in competitive robots or as a solid base for motion-centric prototypes, it delivers a clean, compact, and dependable foundation for robotics projects where performance truly matters.
