Servo & ESC Tester with End-Point Adjustment – Single Supply
This Servo & ESC Tester PCB (Single Supply Version) is designed as a compact and reliable tool for testing RC servos and electronic speed controllers while allowing precise end-point (travel range) adjustment up to approximately 180 degrees. The adjustable range makes it easy to fine-tune servo movement for different applications, whether you need reduced travel for testing or full range for calibration.
Unlike many simple hobby tester circuits that rely on a single 555 timer, this design is based on the IC-556 dual timer, which significantly improves timing stability and smoothness. The result is more consistent PWM signals, leading to stable servo motion and accurate ESC control without jitter.
This version uses a single power source to supply both the control circuit and the servo. An onboard voltage regulator is included, allowing the use of a 7805 (5V) or 7806 (6V) regulator depending on servo requirements. The circuit can safely deliver up to 1A of current, making it suitable for:
- Micro servos
- Mini servos
- Standard servos with moderate torque
- ESC testing and calibration
With its simple power setup and stable output, this PCB is ideal as a general-purpose servo and ESC tester for workshops, hobby benches, and field testing.
