Schematic Diagram
Schematic Diagram of DRV8243
This motor driver circuit uses the Texas Instruments DRV8243 IC to control a brushed DC motor efficiently, with integrated protection and diagnostic features. The input power (12–36V DC) is filtered and protected using a TVS diode, bulk and bypass capacitors, and a AGM40P75 N-channel MOSFET configured for reverse polarity protection. The DRV8243 receives filtered power and drives the motor via its OUT1 and OUT2 pins, while control signals (PH/EN or IN1/IN2) from a microcontroller define motor direction and speed. Pull-up resistors are used for logic pins like MODE, nSLEEP, and nFAULT, while capacitors near VIN ensure stable operation. Optional current sensing is enabled via the IPROPI pin with a resistor to ground, and nFAULT can be monitored via an MCU or LED. The result is a compact, reliable, and robust motor driver board suitable for industrial, automotive, or robotics applications
