Small balanced XLR driver that can be embedded in any project that has dual-ended power available (+/-15VDC).

Note that R5 (and R6 if needed) is intended to be tweaked for the signal you will be applying. THAT1646 has an input impedance of about 5K. R5 and R6 can be used to drop signal level and match impedance to the incoming signal. With C7 chosen at 1uf, the input is a high pass filter with cut-off at about 30hz. But, you must know the nature of the signal feeding this circuit to ensure the combination of R5 and R6 does not further limit the low-end response. If you want down to 20hz, change C7 to 2.2uf.

Also, THAT1646 has a frequency range of 20hz to 20khz with 600 ohm load. C4 and C5 are installed to protect against phantom power on the XLR output. If your XLR load is 600 ohm, this forms a high pass filter with 12hz cut-off. If you can live with higher frequency cut-off, C4 and C5 can be 10uf. If you know you will never have phantom power on the XLR output, C4 and C5 can be replaced with jumper wires.
