Material advantages
As PC can liquify, you can undertake injection moulding. They are resistant to heat and can be used with flame retardant materials also, the molding parts made in Polycarbonate which we called Polycarbonate injection moulding.
Material shortcomings
The mechanical properties of polycarbonate such as tensile strength, flexural strength and flexural modulus decrease steadily with increasing temperature, while the impact strength drops dramatically as temperatures approach 0°F.
