Blade Flux Regulator (BLDC_ESC_BLHeli)

DTU-AUV is a student-led engineering team dedicated from Delhi Technological University, to developing autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) and remote operated vehicles (ROVs) for various national and international competitions like RoboSub, SAUVC, MATE ROV. Since 2007, we have been designing and building our bot from the ground up—engineering everything from the mechanical structure to the electronic systems and software. Our mission is to advance the capabilities of Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) technology while promoting both technical and professional development among our members, equipping them for future career success.

At DTU-AUV, our team consists of undergrad students of multi-disciplinary backgrounds, experience levels to collaborate in developing an Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) capable of executing complex underwater tasks. These challenges include autonomous navigation, precision torpedo deployment, and object manipulation. From mechanical design to electronics and software development, we strive to build as much of the underwater vehicle in-house as possible, ensuring that every component showcases our ingenuity and technical expertise. Our embedded team is working on designing, manufacturing and testing PCBs for the bot ,while also writing the bots firmware for  boards equipped with system-on-chip. We use custom PCBs to  reduce wiring, optimize space making it as compact as possible, achieving full hardware control, enhancing our skills and learning on the way.

The BladeFlux Regulator is a next-generation Electronic Speed Controller (ESC), meticulously engineered for FPV racing, robotics, and high-performance UAVs. Designed with cutting-edge technology on a compact 4-layer PCB (34.5 x 18.5 mm), it delivers unmatched efficiency, durability, and real-time control — ensuring your system operates at peak performance, even under the most demanding conditions.

⚡️ Precision and Power at Its Core

At the heart of the BladeFlux Regulator lies the proven BLHeli_S v16 firmware, running on a SiLabs EFM8BB21 MCU. This combination guarantees:

✅ Ultra-fast response times for seamless throttle transitions.

Buttery-smooth motor control to eliminate oscillations and ensure maximum stability.

✅ Real-time feedback and adjustments for unparalleled flight precision.

🔥 Built for High-Current Applications

The power stage is built around industry-leading components:

⚡️ IRFH5301 N-MOSFETs for superior efficiency and thermal performance.

⚡️ FD6288Q gate driver, ensuring reliable and low-latency switching.

This robust power system enables the BladeFlux Regulator to sustain a 35A continuous current effortlessly, supporting 3S to 6S LiPo configurations—making it ideal for high-speed, high-load applications where performance matters most.
