Ultimate 64 Light Strip Angled Mount for the 64c - COREi64 Original Design

This design is specifically for the U64 (Standard or Elite) board, as it's mount is specifically designed to clear the sockets mounted on the board for the SID chips. Keep in mind that clearance on the rear SID above the LED strip mount is 2.5mm, so you don't have a lot of space between the rear SID and the underside of the light strip mount. The front SID of course has full case clearance.

This is a new mounting system for the optional RGB controllable 24 LED light strip for inside the 64c case. This mounting design attaches to the top of the metal shield surrounding the cartridge port. It is recommended that you put a couple small pieces of double-sided tape on each side of the top of the metal shield when you set the bracket in place. This will prevent it from moving around.

Assembly is quite straight forward. It is a 4 piece product (you'll need all four pieces) and the hardware described above.

1. Insert heat set into the side hole of the left bracket and the underside of the left bracket.
2. Screw the foot to the underside of the left bracket.
3. Screw the right bracket to the left bracket
4. Insert heat sets into the underside of the right bracket
5. Screw the clamp to the underside of the right bracket

Note: Heat sets should be melted into the keyboard brackets only if you're having these manufactured in ABS or PLA. If you're resin printing these brackets, then you should superglue the heat sets into the holes in the top of the keyboard brackets. You may need to drill out the heat set holes a little so the heat sets will be snug when inserted. The superglue will hold them in place. Ensure you don't get any superglue on the thread.

Resin prints will give you the highest quality finish. It will appear much like an injection molded part!
