Standard robot wheels are widely used in educational and DIY robotic platforms, but they are not always directly compatible with BO motors due to differences in shaft shape and mounting style. Direct fitting often results in poor alignment, slipping, or unstable rotation, which affects overall robot performance.

To overcome this issue, I designed a custom motor coupler using Autodesk Fusion 360. This coupler is specifically shaped to match the BO motor shaft and provides a strong mechanical connection between the motor and the wheel hub. A side set screw is used to lock the shaft firmly in place, ensuring smooth rotation and efficient torque transfer.

Designing this coupler in Fusion 360 allowed precise control over dimensions, making it easy to manufacture and modify. This solution enables reliable use of BO motors with standard robot wheels and is ideal for small robot cars, 2WD and 4WD platforms, and educational robotics projects.
