Project "Biscuit" – 150g Combat Robot Custom Titanium Armor
Dear PCBWay Sponsorship & Community Team,
We are "Haim BaSeret", a competitive combat robotics team of 5 passionate youth builders from Israel competing in the 150g Antweight class.
Our team members have a proven track record in arena combat tournaments, including 2nd and 3rd place finishes, as well as securing 4th place with two of our other robots. While PCBWay previously supported our active-weapon robot project (CHIPPY V2), we are excited to introduce "Biscuit"—a completely new, standalone build built upon an entirely different engineering philosophy.
How "Biscuit" Differs from CHIPPY V2
Unlike CHIPPY V2, which incorporated an active lifting weapon and microcontroller logic, Biscuit is engineered as a non-programmable, direct-drive Fixed-Wedge Rammer. The entire architecture is optimized for pure kinetic energy transfer, structural rigidity, and zero ground clearance to counter high-energy spinning weapons.
Technical Specifications & Bill of Materials (BOM)
Custom Sheet Metal Titanium Armor (Orders already approved on PCBWay):
6x Grade 5 Titanium (TC4) Triangles:
4x Primary Facet Wedges (titanium 1.step – Order C-1V16W822099A)
2x Side Facet Wedges (titanium 2.step – Order C-1V18W822099A)
Both items have already successfully passed PCBWay engineering review (Pass, Payment status).
Chassis: Custom 3D-printed impact-absorbing unibody frame (3 perimeter walls, Gyroid infill for maximum shear resistance). The base geometry was adapted from Thingiverse and extensively remodeled in CAD by our driver and CAD designer to house the low-profile electronics and direct-mounted wedge faces.
Drivetrain: 2x high-torque Turnabot N20 gearmotors paired with high-traction silicone-rim wheels.
Electronics & Power: Dual micro ESC, 2.4GHz micro receiver, and high-discharge 2S LiPo battery (strictly calibrated within the 150g combat limit).
Assembly & Manufacturing Plan
Chassis Fabrication: Print the main unibody chassis with high-impact polymer using reinforced wall layers.
Drive System Installation: Secure Turnabot N20 motors and wheel axles directly into chassis recesses.
Armor Integration: Permanently mount the 6 PCBWay Grade 5 Titanium triangles onto the angled front facets using high-shear structural epoxy/polyurethane adhesive, ensuring flush, zero-clearance ground contact.
Wiring & Calibration: Wire and solder the dual ESC harness, calibrate receiver endpoints, and balance center of gravity over the main drive wheels.
What We Offer PCBWay in Return
Dedicated YouTube Coverage: Prominent feature on our channel, Haim BaSeret Combat Robotics (https://www.youtube.com/@hiyimbeseretCombatRobotics), including a dedicated unboxing/showcase video of the titanium parts and tournament build logs.
On-Robot Branding: Clear PCBWay logo placement on the armor during official arena league battles.
Links & Shoutouts: Direct website/affiliate links in all our video descriptions and mentions in maker and combat robotics community discussions.
The production files are already uploaded and approved on our PCBWay account. Any coupon or sponsorship support towards fabricating these titanium parts will directly empower our team to complete this build for the upcoming competition season.
Thank you for your continuous support of young makers and the combat robotics community!
