Wireless Satellite Receiver System: System Diagram
1. Satellite Dish & LNB:
Function: The satellite dish collects signals from the satellite, and the LNB (Low-Noise Block Downconverter) converts these high-frequency signals into an intermediate frequency (IF) suitable for processing. This is the standard outdoor unit.
2. Outdoor Transmitter Unit (LNB Side):
Function: This custom-designed unit connects directly to the LNB. It receives the IF signal, digitizes it, and modulates it onto a high-frequency wireless carrier (e.g., 60 GHz WiGig) for transmission to the indoor unit. It must be weatherproof.
3. Wireless 60 GHz Data Link:
Function: This represents the cable-free connection. The outdoor transmitter sends the modulated satellite data wirelessly at 60 GHz to the indoor receiver. This frequency band allows for very high bandwidth and low latency, crucial for video streaming.
4. Indoor Receiver Unit:
Function: This unit receives the 60 GHz wireless signal, demodulates and decodes the satellite data, and then processes it into a standard video/audio format (e.g., HDMI). It essentially replaces the traditional satellite receiver box.
5. TV/Display (HDMI):
Function: The indoor receiver connects to your television or display via an HDMI cable, allowing you to watch satellite channels wirelessly from the dish.
