Water Level Controller
Water Level Controller (PCB-Based Project)
This project is a Water Level Controller designed and implemented on a custom-made Printed Circuit Board (PCB). The main objective of this system is to automatically control the water pump based on the water level in the tank, thereby preventing water overflow and dry running of the motor.
The PCB integrates all essential electronic components such as the control IC/transistor network, resistors, diodes, relay driver section, and power regulation circuit in a compact and reliable form. Water level sensing is achieved using conductive probes placed at different heights inside the tank. These probes detect the presence of water by sensing conductivity and send signals to the control circuit.
When the water level falls below a predefined minimum level, the controller automatically switches ON the pump. As the water level reaches the maximum limit, the controller switches OFF the pump, ensuring efficient water usage and eliminating manual intervention. The relay on the PCB provides proper electrical isolation between the low-voltage control circuit and the high-voltage motor.
Designing the circuit on a PCB improves durability, safety, and neatness compared to breadboard or loose wiring setups. It also reduces noise, enhances reliability, and makes the system suitable for real-life domestic or industrial applications.
Overall, this PCB-based water level controller is an effective solution for water conservation, energy saving, and automation, demonstrating practical application of electronics in daily life.
