This is an Cartridge for your C64.

It can hold one or more programs (up to 512K EEPROM) and start it using a program list.

The UC-1.5 is something between UC-1 and UC-2.

The UC-1.5 SMD can:

run a 8KB Cartridge

run a 16KB Cartridge

run a Ultímax Cartridge

run a PRG File which start with RUN (Load address $0801)

run a PRG File which start with SYS (Load address anywhere)

Cause UC-1.5 has RAM it can load programs also from a disk drive or a SD2IEC and start it as Cartridge.

UC-1.5 RAM can be write protected so it is like an EPROM.

For the EEPROM any 128K, 256K or 512K Type can be used (for example W27C010 - W27E040).

The UC cartridge can be configured fully using IO register at $DExx.

It can control /EXROM and /GAME so C64 know which kind of cartridge is mounted.

You can disable the IO register and make the cartridge fully invisible (up to next hard reset).

There is a command line tool (UC-Builder) for Windows, which can create Image Files for the UC cartridge. Simply copy CRT or PRG files to a directory and create a small textfile (CSV file). UC-Builder Tool will make an Imagefile for your EPROM prgrammer (for example TL866). CRT files are Cartridge Files for VICE (only Typ 0 allowed: 8K, 16K, Ultimax). PRG are files you can LOAD and start with RUN (OneFiler).

There is also a file browser (modified FB v2.0) which can load and start programs from a disk drive or an SD2IEC. The difference between UC-FB and the normal FB is, UC-FB can load and start CRT files directly. CRT files must be type 0 (8K, 16K or Ultimax). After loading the CRT file it will be copied into UC RAM and started with a Soft Reset.
