Audio reactive glow LED wristband/bracelet with NFC / RFID-Tags
A rechargeable glowing wristband that reacts to music, powered by a thin LiPo battery. The TPU band has 15 LEDs inside. The animations are driven by audio analysis and controlled with an ATTiny85 processor.
Why did you make it?
I like electronic music events and festivals and my wife likes to dress up so I wanted to bing this together. I enjoy the synesthetic aspect of sound and light in a good club and so am I always trying to make the lights dance.
Technical details
- Adjustable diameter: 5 - 8 cm
- NFC-Tag NTAG213 Midas 168Byte
- Charging the wearable takes less than 20 minutes. The two LEDs inside the plug will provide charging progress during charging (red = charging, blue = full).
- The wearable has a BMS directly at the battery to prevent over/under charging. I run the LEDs and processor directly from the battery. The built-in charge-controller will manage the optimal charging voltage. A Full charge is good for about 6 hours.
Modes
The colors of the lights can be changed with the push button on the side. Click for color change:
- Yellow
- Green
- Cyan
- Blue
- Purple
- Pink
- Red
- White
- RGB multicolor
The RGB multicolor mode has 8 color pallets. They will be combined with 9 animation algorithms, this results in 8*9 = 72 different impressions of the animations. All animation algorithms react to beat and sound volume and will automatically adjust the gain at the festival or club - it works best when it's loud.
