Description

Commodore 8296 - UE6 replacement using two GAL 22v10

Most of the defect Commodore 8296 Computer have a problem with the PLA chips (UE5 and/or UE6). After replace the PLA chips most of this old Computers running fine.

This project is inspired by two projects:

PLA Replacement for 8296 (UE5) by Nicolas Welte using one GAL 20v10 (file available at zimmers.net)
PLA Replacement for C64 by Dani?l Mantione (PLA20V8)

You will need two GAL 22v10 (Lattice) or ATF 22v10 (Atmel).

To program this GAL you need the JEDEC files below and a Programmer (for example TL866).

To test this adapter you can use the "PLA to TL866 adapter" (other shared project):
