The NOPPER Z80 Edition : A Quick and Easy Go/No Go Tester For Retro CPU

Here is a quick and easy way to test a Z80 CPU. This will not give definitive proof that the Z80 is completely functional but it will tell you if it basically works and will certainly tell you if it is dead

You can see the NOPPER working on my YouTube channel Learn Electronics Repair. Note there is a small issue with the BOM as the footprint for the RESET switch is generic. If you are ordering assembled units and PCBWay can not find a suitable switch, simply ask them to omit this component and then fit your own momentary contact push button switch. The PCB pads are plenty large enough to take a variety of switches.
