Advanced continuity and semiconductor tester for in circuit and out of circuit fault finding. The download contains a complete IDE already set up with the required libraries so you can easily compile the code. The ROM usage is currently below 50% so there is plenty of room for your own modifications or experiments.

One important note: we designed the PCB so you can use either a TO220 7805 *or* a T092 78L05 voltage regulator. This is for ease of construction so you can just use whichever type you may have lying around. Please DO NOT FIT BOTH at the same time. The power LED, RGB LED and volt meter module are all optional. The core function of Mr Bleep is the almost instant audible indication to detect and distinguish between either a short circuit, silicon semiconductor or schottky junction so feel free to omit these components, you will see they were not included in the original prototype built on strip board.

While a SMD version of Mr Bleep would be very easy to implement we wanted to make this project easy to build, even for beginners, so we used through hole components and large PCB pads to make soldering easier. This project was made to be easily accessible to anyone who can pick up a soldering iron rather than being the smallest design we could make.
