Team e-Tech Racing – Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya

1. About the Institution

e-Tech Racing is the Formula Student team of the Escola d'Enginyeria de Barcelona Est (EEBE) at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.

2. About our Team & Car

Founded in 2013, our team has exclusively developed 100% electric race cars. Following our most successful season to date, we decided to take a dedicated development year to engineer our upcoming 2027 prototype.

3. Project Overview

The 2027 car represents the biggest technological leap in our history, aiming to position the team among the top European Formula Student competitors. It will feature an all-wheel-drive (AWD) system with four custom-built in-hub electric motors, making us the only Spanish team manufacturing our own motors. Additionally, we are actively developing and implementing algorithms for a driverless vehicle.

4. Competition Mission

Our primary goal is to compete at the highest level in top-tier European events. Last season at Formula Student Germany—the most prestigious competition, held at the Hockenheimring—we successfully completed all dynamic events: Skidpad, Acceleration, Autocross, and Endurance. This showcased our engineering reliability to over 7,000 attendees and highly demanding judges from leading companies like BMW, Audi, and Bosch.

5. Technical Requirements

To successfully implement our vehicle's architecture, we require high-precision manufacturing services. We are specifically seeking support through PCBWay's CNC machining services to manufacture the mechanical components for our dynamics assembly. This includes essential custom parts for our steering, suspension, transmission, and braking systems.
