VolTorq Karting

We are VolTorq, a team of 8 final-year mechanical and electrical engineering students from Université de Sherbrooke, designing and building a high-performance electric all-wheel-drive go-kart featuring electronic torque vectoring. Our goal is to push the limits of small-scale EV performance, while developing advanced design and manufacturing skills.

We chose this project to combine our shared passion for motorsport and innovation, and to apply our technical knowledge in a real-world, hands-on challenge. The torque vectoring system allows us to precisely control power delivery to each wheel, dramatically improving cornering speed and vehicle control.

We are currently welding our custom chromoly chassis and assembling drivetrain components, and we are in need of custom sprockets—a critical part of our torque distribution system that are difficult to source in the required dimensions.

We would be extremely grateful for PCBWay’s support through CNC machining discounts or sponsorship. We already use PCBWay for our electronics and would love to expand our collaboration to mechanical parts.
