VISHWA VJTI IRC'27 – Mars Rover Electronics

VISHWA is the Space & Astronomy Club of Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI), Mumbai, established in 1887. We are a student-led team working on space robotics, aerospace systems, electronics, and astronomy.

Our flagship project is a next-generation Mars rover for the International Rover Challenge (IRC). For IRC 2027, we are developing a new generation of rover electronics with an emphasis on reliability, modularity, compact design, and robust field operation.

The PCB showcased in this project is one of our finalized boards developed specifically for our rover's electronic architecture. Our team handles the complete process from schematic design and PCB layout to component selection, routing, testing, and system integration.

VISHWA has consistently represented VJTI at international rover competitions, achieving 16th rank in 2022 and 2023, 23rd in 2025, and 24th in 2026, competing against 200+ teams from India and around the world. We also participated in the CanSat Competition 2023 and secured 14th rank at IRDC 2022.

We are looking to collaborate with PCBWay for the fabrication of our IRC 2027 PCBs. Professional manufacturing support would help us turn our designs into reliable, competition-ready hardware. In return, we would be happy to showcase PCBWay's contribution through our project documentation, social media, workshops, competition presence, and team merchandise.

Through this project, we aim to demonstrate how student engineers can apply professional PCB design and manufacturing techniques to real-world space robotics and autonomous systems.
