University of Michigan Supermileage

University of Michigan SuperMileage is a student-run project team that is currently working to create two hyper-efficient vehicles to compete in Shell's Eco-Marathon competition. Our organization was founded in 2011 and currently has around 35 active members.

This year, we are continuing development on our prototype-electric vehicle. We plan to add several electrical systems such as a speedometer, power sensing, current feedback sensing, adaptive PCB cooling, and wireless communication systems. We will also pursue another iteration of our driver board with a new microcontroller and industry standard motor control software.

Our team is also developing a new urban concept internal combustion engine vehicle. We will utilize an adapted engine from a Honda Ruckus for our ICE. Our team is working very hard developing the mechanical systems, electrical systems, and body from scratch as we hope to compete this car spring 2023 at the Shell Eco-Marathon.
