UC Irvine Anteater Electric Racing
Our team:
Founded in 2011, the UC Irvine Electric Racing Team is a part of the Henry Samueli School of Engineering. This project trains more than engineering skills—it helps students grow as effective communicators, team players, and future innovators. The final goal for this project, along with allowing the students to build an electric race car from scratch, is to compete in the student FSAE competition.
Every year, Anteater Electric Racing aims to enhance their performance at Formula SAE events using advanced design software, cutting-edge manufacturing techniques, and rigorous local testing and validation methods, consistently striving to create the best formula student EV race car.
Our Boards:
Our electronics team has prototyped and verified the electrical shutdown system on soldered breadboards, and we hope to turn them into PCBAs.
Our embedded systems team has designed the vehicle firmware to handle sensor data collection, fault handling, telemetry, and implement advanced control algorithms.
