Tufts Solar Vehicle Project

We are a 100% student-run team at Tufts University aiming to build a solar-powered, road legal car. We were founded by a couple of undergrads just over 2 years ago, and we've now grown to a team of over 40 students. The car needs to be very light and aerodynamic due to the limited power output of the solar cells, so we've opted for a carbon fiber chassis and body and CNC machined parts. The electrical system also involves many custom-made PCBs that work to control the low voltage systems and collect telemetry.

The car is fully designed and has a coefficient of drag (Cd) of around 0.11. We're now fully in the manufacturing stage and working on assembling/building all the components we need to make a working car!
