Triton Robotics @ UC San Diego
Founded in 2017 at the University of California, San Diego, Triton Robotics is a student-led team focused on designing and building advanced robots for ARC Robotics competitions. Our team brings together students from a wide range of backgrounds, including engineering, computer science, and cognitive science, who all share a curiosity for building complex systems and learning by doing. We design and build each robot entirely from scratch, integrating mechanical structures, custom electronics, sensors, and control software into one cohesive platform. It’s a very hands-on process, and along the way, members gain real experience solving engineering challenges and working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
One of our current projects involves developing a fleet of competition robots that can move precisely, interact with their environment, and perform reliably during ARC Robotics competitions. Each robot is carefully designed, tested, and improved over time, which pushes us to think creatively and continuously refine our approach. As the team continues to grow, we’re excited to take on more ambitious designs and support new members as they learn and contribute. More than anything, Triton Robotics is about building meaningful technology together and creating a space where students can explore robotics in an open, collaborative, and supportive environment.
