Thornbots Slipring Breakout Board + Measurement Testing Board
The Thornbots Robotics club is a multidisciplinary competition team at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. We participate in ARC Robotics, formerly RMNA–the North American league in DJI’s Robomaster competition, where we placed 4th in the 2025 season and are aiming for the podium this year.

We currently need two PCBs manufactured:
Slipring breakout board - The chassis and turret are electrically connected through a 36-wire slipring.All of these wires make the chassis unorganized and tedious to wire. This board will accept a 36-pin ribbon cable connector to reduce the number of connections required during assembly.

What the new board will do:

Measurement testing board - This board is intended to check the design capabilities for our upcoming supercap controller board. The goal for our new design is to increase measurement polling rate for better response time which will help us operate with greater precision and reduce board failure.
