We are Team Veloz Racing, the official eBAJA team of the Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, a group of passionate student engineers united by innovation and a shared vision for sustainable mobility. Our mission is to design, build, and race a fully electric All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) that redefines performance, efficiency, and endurance while embodying the spirit of engineering for a cleaner and greener future.

Our strength lies in interdisciplinary collaboration. Mechanical engineers design robust chassis, precision suspension systems, and reliable handling mechanisms. Electrical and electronics engineers, along with Computer Science Engineers, drive innovation in the powertrain, control systems, and energy management. Together, we combine creativity and technical expertise to transform ideas into performance on the track.

Subsystems That Define Our Engineering Spirit

• Design & Fabrication: Every element of our ATV is engineered through simulation and optimisation.

• Powertrain: Our custom two-stage reduction gearbox with a direct CVT 4WD layout delivers exceptional performance across the toughest terrains.

• Suspension, Steering & Brakes: With precision geometry, adjustable suspension, and high-performance braking, our ATV achieves superior control, agility, and stability on every terrain.

• Electrical System:  Innovation drives our electric core — from advanced battery pack design and motor controller tuning to intelligent PCB and wiring development, all validated through MATLAB, Simulink, and IPG CarMaker simulations. Herein lies the heart of our appeal and the pivot for our sponsorship request, as we seek support to advance our custom PCB development for enhanced safety, efficiency, and control integration.

According to the rulebook issued by SAE India for eBAJA 2026, specific start-up sequences must be followed for starting the electric vehicle:

eBAJA ATV Start-up Sequence

Power On

• Turning the key supplies 12V to the system through two kill switches.
• Both switches must be ON for the system to get power.

Startup Safety Checks

• The car can start only if:
• The brake pedal is pressed.
• The accelerator pedal is not pressed.
• Gear (D-N-R switch) is in Neutral.

Ready-to-Drive Activation

• Once all safety conditions are met, the “Startup Relay” turns ON.
• A buzzer sounds for 2 seconds (Ready-to-Drive Sound).
• Then, the TSAL light glows to show the vehicle is active and ready to move.

Drive Mode

• After the buzzer, the driver can shift from Neutral to Drive.
• The system enables high-voltage power to the motor controller.
• Brake lights turn ON when the brakes are pressed.
• Throttle (acceleration) works only when the Drive mode is active.
