Team Bath Racing Electric

We are a highly-ranking Formula Student team based out of the University of Bath. The core team consists of approximately 50 students, and the electrical team is 15 of those. We design approximately 10 PCBs each year for use on a completely electric single-seater racecar. In particular, this year we are manufacturing a complete new high voltage battery, and with this we are also designing our custom distributed battery management system - a first in the team's history.

In terms of previous season results, we were the fastest electric vehicle during the sprint event at Formula Student UK, as well as being the only UK team to complete in Formula Student Germany 2025 – which we finished mid-pack despite it being the first time in the teams history to attend.

This year is an ambitious year for the team, with a new BMS as mentioned, as well as us moving to “in-hub” motors in order to be competitive on the European stage. PCBWay's support will help enormously in the production of the PCBs required for these changes.
