TSAL Slave board for Formula Student racing car

For a few last years I have been participating in a science club Polsl Racing at my university that builds racing cars for Formula Student competitions. I started as an intern in the electronics team and over the past 2 years I have learned quite a lot from my colleagues and also from practice.

We are currently working on our second electric racing car SW-04e and are currently testing most of our systems and improving our already existing ones.

One of the systems that the team must create from scratch as it cannot be bought is TSAL - Tractive System Active Light. According to the Formula Student rules It has to consist only of hardwired electronics, it cannot contain programmed logic and it has to measure voltages on the relays in high voltage battery so It can light up.

It lights up steady green light when Tractive system is turned off but there is still 12V battery powering the vehicle. And it blink_s red with a frequency of 3-5 Hz when the tractive system is on, and that means if the vehicle is ready to drive. The whole lighting part has to be placed in the top part of main hoop of the racing car.

What you can see in the picture is Slave part of the system. This pcb is placed in High voltage enclosure and it measures some voltages and sends voltage signal to the Master board. Now I don't have a proper video of this system lighting because of one good reason. It has to light very bright, and our system does indeed light veeeeery bright. Without an enclosure it lights up so bright that when you try to record it with your phone, the white balance in the camera goes crazy and recorded image goes very dark. but here is a picture of the master board that also splits into two.
