SUSF Starworks
SUSF Starworks is a student rocketry team from the University of Southampton established in 2025, currently competing in the Lander Challenger, aiming to design, manufacture and build a rocket engine-powered self-landing vehicle. Composed of 30 highly ambitious, motivated students from various engineering disciplines. We strive to prove that it doesn't matter how experienced or inexperienced you are; all that matters is that if you set your mind to something and believe in it, anything is possible.
Our lander will consist of multiple subsystems all working together in perfect harmony. With Banshee, our N2O/IPA bi-propellant liquid rocket engine provides thrust. An autonomous guidance system controlling the engine mount/gimbal for thrust vectoring and thus lander flight, all mounted inside a strong, lightweight structure.
Current plans are for a gradual test campaign, including a static test fire of Banshee, a custom drone, to verify our control system. leading to a full assembly and lander test campaign in the first half of 2027.

Banshee is our main focus right now, and we are looking for sponsors to help us 3D print our chamber from AlSi10Mg.
The team would greatly benefit from PCBWay's support. As a very dedicated student team, we face challenges sourcing materials, parts and components due to our limited budget. Helping us subsidise or partially offset the cost of printing our chamber would be greatly helpful in achieving our goals.
PCBWay's support would enable us to further develop our design and inspire the next generation of aerospace engineers. We are excited for this opportunity to collaborate with PCBWay as a company trusted by so many in the community .
