Reverse Engineering Foundation

Founded in 2024, the Reverse Engineering Foundation is led by students of American High School who are passionate in the art of engineering while teaching others about it. They are dedicated to pushing the foundation beyond its limits and inspiring the next generation of engineers.


One of our current projects has been setting up bootcamps where we teach children in the Bay Area about circuits, arduinos, etc. We recently held one of our camps in the summer where we went over the fundamentals of engineering. The team has had great success with various events as we have taught over 250+ students, served over 200+ hours of detailed teaching, and 10+ successful events.

Looking into the future, the Reverse team is eager to continue their events and inspire more students for their interest in engineering. We are committed to creating an environment where children can come and freely learn about the wonders of technology.

The main goal of our foundation is to provide immersive engineering experiences to children. To achieve this, we need many parts and kits that will be essential to help supplement our teaching material.


1.Circuits and Arduinos

A circuit is a closed path that lets electricity flow to power a device, and an Arduino is a small, programmable computer board used to control circuits. They also let us turn software ideas into physical objects that can be used daily.


2.Bread Boards, LEDs, and Resistors

Breadboards and LEDs are the ultimate tool for building electronics. They will let you build, test, and confirm that your circuits and Arduino programs are working properly. A breadboard is essentially a plastic block filled with metal clips, where you can plug in wires and components. An LED, or a Light Emitting Diode, glows when power passes through it. A resistor will also be needed in the circuit, so that it prevents too much power from reaching the LED.




Our team will greatly appreciate and benefit from the support of PCB Way. As a non-profit dedicated to designing and building projects for teaching purposes, we face challenges in obtaining various parts within our budget and time frame. Quick building would allow us to provide more events for youth, enabling our team to provide a bigger impact in our community.
