Nexus UA Motorsport

Dear PCBWay Team,


My name is Ana Baeta, and I am the General Coordinator of Nexus UA Motorsport, a non-profit organization composed of students from the University of Aveiro. We are a multidisciplinary, hardworking, and highly dedicated team that combines technical talent, innovative spirit, and a strong ambition to represent Portuguese engineering at the highest level.


Nexus was born from the union of two distinct teams into a new force in motorsport. This unprecedented merger in the national university landscape allows us to compete simultaneously in Formula Student and Motostudent International, focusing on electric categories and sustainable mobility.


With 18 years of accumulated experience in Formula Student and 10 years in Motostudent, we have built a solid track record and a mature technical structure. However, it is our ability to adapt, innovate, and collaborate that truly distinguishes us as a university project.


PCBWay, renowned for its wide range of services and materials across various engineering fields, particularly PCB production, also stands out for its bold and innovative spirit. We would therefore like to request your support through the production of the following PCBs, which are essential for the development of our prototypes. 

  • 15x AMS Slave
  • 5x AMS Master
  • 5x Fuse Box
  • 5x BSPD
  • 5x TSAL
  • 5x Pre-charge
  • 10x Can Node


The TSAL is a crucial security circuit of our prototype, it detects if there is a high voltage in our tractive system (60VDC) and opens the SDC (ShutDown Circuit) if that is the case. It also features a plausibility check done entirely through hardware and auxiliar signals from the high voltage relays.


The BSPD opens the SDC if the brake pedal is pressed hard enough while the user is also on the accelerator.
