From a Student Community to a Pioneering Aerospace Team

What started as a Discord server community in June 2023 has quickly transformed into a passionate team of over 1,000 rocket enthusiasts from diverse backgrounds across the nation. Together, we've built and launched our first rocket, Jericho, aimed at reaching an apogee of 1 km, and established a tradition of launching rockets every Christmas. In March 2024, we took the bold step of incorporating as Othisis Systems Pvt. Ltd. and quickly achieved key milestones, including a successful motor test in July 2024 and the SONUS launch in December 2024, targeting an apogee of 3 km. Our growth continues to be driven by collaboration, innovation, and a shared vision for the future of space technology.

Redefining Student-Led Innovation in Space Technology

At Othisis Systems, we aim to revolutionize space tech development in India by crafting indigenous high-powered rockets and driving advancements in aerospace engineering. Our mission extends beyond engineering; we're committed to STEM education, regularly organizing workshops to ignite curiosity in young minds. We are working towards developing a self-landing rocket that will reduce launch costs and provide launch services to satellite developers like Pixxel, Bellatrix, and CanSat teams. Through our innovative designs, educational initiatives, and dedication to pushing technological boundaries, we aim to foster a spirit of discovery and scientific advancement in India’s aerospace industry.

By this summer break we aim to static test our first regeneratively cooled liquid rocket engine based of nitrous oxide and isopropyl alcohol. while simultaneously building test beds to fine tune control algorithm for a hopper test. concluding all tests with the final showdown of launching and landing our rocket on Christmas this year!
