Velocita E-Racing – Formula Bharat 2026 Electric Race Car

Velocita E-Racing is the Formula Student team of PSG Institute of Technology and Applied Research (PSG iTech), Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. Our team consists of dedicated engineering students from various disciplines working together to design, manufacture, test, and race a Formula-style electric race car for Formula Bharat, India's premier Formula Student competition.

Formula Bharat is part of the internationally recognized Formula Student ecosystem, where universities from around the world compete by developing innovative race vehicles. The competition provides students with an opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to real-world engineering challenges while representing their institutions and showcasing technological excellence.

As a student team from India, we are committed to demonstrating the capabilities of young Indian engineers on a national and global stage. Our goal is not only to build a competitive electric race car but also to contribute to India's growing reputation in automotive innovation, electric mobility, and advanced engineering.

For the Formula Bharat 2026 season, we are developing a high-performance electric race car equipped with advanced electronic systems, including:

Battery Management System (BMS)

Telemetry and Data Acquisition System

Vehicle Control Electronics

Sensor Interface Modules

Driver Information Systems

Safety-Critical Electrical Systems

Communication and Diagnostics Networks

These systems rely on custom-designed printed circuit boards (PCBs) that form the backbone of our vehicle's electrical architecture. Reliable and professionally manufactured PCBs are essential to ensure performance, safety, and durability in demanding motorsport conditions.

Through this project, students gain hands-on experience in electronics design, embedded systems, power management, manufacturing, testing, and project management. The experience prepares future engineers to contribute to India's rapidly growing automotive, electronics, and technology sectors.

We are seeking support from PCBWay to manufacture the custom PCBs required for our vehicle. PCBWay's expertise in PCB fabrication, PCB assembly, rapid prototyping, and advanced manufacturing services will help us transform our designs into reliable, competition-ready systems.

Additionally, we have attached one of our PCB schematics that is planned for manufacturing through PCBWay. This schematic represents a key electronic subsystem of our Formula Bharat 2026 electric race car and demonstrates the type of custom PCB designs for which we are seeking PCBWay's manufacturing support.

In return, PCBWay will receive visibility through logo placement on our race car, team apparel, workshop banners, technical reports, sponsor presentations, and social media platforms. The partnership will also provide exposure among engineering students, industry professionals, judges, sponsors, and motorsport enthusiasts attending Formula Bharat.
