FTC Robotics
Evergreen Tech-a-Trons
FTC Team #25690

The Evergreen Tech-a-Trons (est. 2024) are a student-led robotics team from San Jose, California, competing in the FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC). Our team is made up of students interested in robotics, engineering, programming, CAD, electronics, and design.
Our goal is to design, build, and program competitive robots while giving students hands- on engineering experience outside of the classroom. Through FTC, we learn practical skills by working on real engineering challenges and collaborating as a team throughout the season. For the past two consecutive years, we have qualified for the North Cal Regionals.
In addition to competitions, we also participate in STEM outreach activities in our community to encourage younger students to explore robotics and technology.
About the Team
Our team works across multiple areas of robotics and engineering, including:
· Mechanical design
· CAD and prototyping
· Programming
· Electronics and wiring
· Manufacturing and fabrication
· Strategy and testing
Students are involved in every stage of development, from brainstorming ideas and designing parts to building mechanisms, programming autonomous systems, and testing robot performance. FTC gives us experience with real engineering workflows while also helping us develop teamwork, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Competition Robot Project
Decode Season Robots 2025-26

Into the Deep Season Robots 2024-25

Each FTC season includes a new game challenge that requires teams to design robots capable of completing different tasks during matches.
Our current project focuses on developing a competitive robot with custom mechanisms, autonomous programming, and driver-controlled systems designed to improve consistency and performance during competitions.
The robot includes:
· Custom CAD-designed parts
· Mechanical systems and linkages
· Sensors and control systems
· Autonomous programming
· Driver-controlled mechanisms
Throughout the season, we continuously prototype, test, redesign, and improve our robot based on performance and competition experience.
CAD, Manufacturing, and Fabrication

CAD and manufacturing are a major part of our engineering process. Many of our robot components are designed digitally before being manufactured and assembled onto the robot.
Our team regularly works with:
· CAD software for part and mechanism design
· 3D printing and rapid prototyping
· CNC-machined components
· Custom fabrication and assembly
· Electrical integration and wiring
Access to reliable manufacturing resources helps us create stronger, lighter, and more precise robotcomponents.
Why Sponsorship Support Is Important
As a student team, one of our biggest challenges is accessing the resources needed to manufacture high-quality custom parts and continue improving our robot throughout the season.
Support from sponsors would help us:
· Manufacture stronger and more reliable robot parts
· Improve robot performance during competitions
· Cover costs for materials, fabrication, tools, and competition fees
· Gain hands-on experience with real engineering and manufacturing processes
· Continue STEM outreach activities in our community
Support would also allow more students on our team to gain practical experience with engineering, robotics, manufacturing, and design
Outreach and Community
Beyond the competition floor, our team also works to promote STEM and robotics within our local community. Through outreach events, workshops, and demonstrations, we encourage younger students to explore engineering and technology in a hands-on way.
Our team’s social media and digital platforms currently reach a community of over 1500+ students, parents, educators, and robotics supporters.

Our outreach initiatives include:
● Free and low-cost robotics and CAD workshops for students in the San Jose area
● Summer FTC robotics programs designed to help newer students learn robotics and engineering
● Hands-on technical learning opportunities in:
○ Mechanical engineering and robot assembly
○ Java programming and software development
○ CAD design and 3D modeling
○ Leadership, Mentoring, teamwork, and project management

Through these activities, we hope to inspire more students to get involved in STEM and build confidence in problem-solving, creativity, and engineering.
