E-Traxx Exxe25/26

E-Traxx is the Formula Student team of Hochschule Düsseldorf, active since 2013. Over the years, our team has continued to grow and evolve, and we are now a group of around 60 dedicated students from engineering, design, and business fields. We are currently working on our fifth electric race car, focusing on strengthening our technical systems and improving the overall performance of the vehicle.

High quality, reliable, and precisely manufactured PCBs are a core element of our car’s architecture. Across both our low-voltage and high-voltage systems, we use a wide range of in-house developed PCBs that are essential for safety, control, measurement, and data quality.

We are a small but highly dedicated Formula Student team that had to rebuild from the ground up after the pandemic. Despite these challenges, our motivation and determination have driven us to remarkable results: we successfully competed at Formula Student Germany 2024, even getting to the endurance event, and in 2025 we reached the FSG business pitch finals and secured an outstanding 3rd place among 84 international teams.

While our ambitious approach for the 2025 season initially led us to attempt too many new concepts at once - resulting in us not making it to the track - we have learned valuable lessons in project management and technical focus. With this experience, we are now more confident than ever in delivering a competitive and innovative racecar for the upcoming season, with plans to compete at FSG for the third time and possibly at Formula Student Austria for the first time.

Because so many critical subsystems rely on custom electronics, dependable and consistent PCB manufacturing is vital. High quality boards enable short development cycles, reproducible designs, and robust functionality under real racing conditions.
