Christmas Gift
TechForge
As it stands today, TechForge, our development center for students encompasses over 300 enrolled members, making it one of the biggest student clubs in the entire Polytechnic University of Bucharest, the biggest technical university in Romania. We are a relatively new group, as we have started our activity a little less than 3 years ago, but we have been steadily growing. The core of our community is electronics, we combine hardware and software to push the boundaries of student innovation.
We also have a performance team, as we call it, made up of 30 of our most brilliant minds and together we strive to take the top spots at electronics & robotics competitions as well as hackathons. Our most recent achievements are reaching the semi-finals at RoboChallenge at the micro sumo category and winning multiple rounds in the robot combat one. As of this year, RoboChallenge has become the biggest robotics competitions in Europe, with over 1000 participants. We’re very proud of our results, as it’s only the second year we’ve taken part in this competition. We’ve also taken home first and second places at various hackathons throughout Romania.

In the near future, we plan on expanding.
Firstly, we hope to provide our members with greater acces to equipment and components, because, first and foremost, TechForge started as a place where you can learn and we still value this aspect a lot.
Secondly, we are currently in talks with other student clubs to initiate collaborations, ranging from automotive to aerospace projects. We want to become the backbone of electronics projects in our university.
Almost all of our projects utilize PCBS and having easier access to high quality ones would benefit us tremendously.
I will now present two of our upcoming projects in which we would greatly benefit from your assistance.
Electronic Christmas tree :
This project has been a staple for us, as we've done it since the beginning and it marked the start of our collaboration with the electronics faculty of our university. The purpose of this project is to familiarize students with soldering THT components onto PCBs and it also helps us bringing our community closer before the holidays. Last year we've managed to realise around 200 of these.

Electronic Snowflake :
This project serves as an addition to our Christmas themed activities list and it has a similar purpose to the Christmas tree, because we thought that we should have add some diversity. Through these projects our first year students can understand the beauty of technology, while creating Christmas presents.

This year, we are planning on making 150 Electronic Christmas Trees and 250 Electronic Snowflakes, half of them will be sold on a Charity Show, and the money will be sent to a charitable cause. The other half will be a gift from us for each of the 200 students will choose to help us make them.
Having access to better technology through PCBWay would enable us to complete greater projects on much a much bigger scale. We are very excited about the opportunity to collaborate with PCBWay and spread our love for science and technology, as well as achieving our goals with their support.
Sincerely,
