Hey there! I'm Jaimin, one of the organizers of Campfire Ahmedabad, and I'm absolutely passionate about bringing the maker community together. Growing up in Ahmedabad, I've always been inspired by our city's spirit of jugaad, that beautiful combination of innovation, resourcefulness, and creative problem-solving that runs deep in Gujarat's DNA.

I'm part of Hack Club, a global non-profit that empowers over 50,000 teenagers to code, create, and build incredible projects. What I love most is watching young makers discover their potential. that moment when someone realizes they can turn their imagination into reality through code, hardware, and collaboration. I spend my time coding, tinkering with hardware projects, organizing community events, and finding ways to inspire the next generation of creators right here in Gujarat.

Our organizing team wouldn't have met if it weren't for hackathons and game jams run by Hack Club. These events don't just teach technical skills, they create lifelong friendships and communities. That's the magic we want to bring to Ahmedabad with Campfire.

What is Campfire?

Campfire is a 24-hour game jam happening February 28th to March 1st, 2026, as part of a global event with 100+ concurrent locations worldwide. We're expecting 75-100 high school students in Ahmedabad who are eager to learn game development, collaborate with peers, and build amazing projects. It's a beginner-friendly event where programmers, artists, and engineers will spend 24 hours creating fun computer games together.

This event is similar to Daydream, which was Hack Club's largest game jam with 7,000 attendees across 100 concurrent events around the world. We're bringing that same energy and excitement to Gujarat, creating a space where young makers can explore game development in a fun, collaborative environment.

The CampCards

For Campfire, we're creating custom CampCards – beautifully designed PCB badges that serve as more than just event identification. These cards are tangible memories that attendees can take home and treasure, conversation starters that help break the ice and foster connections, and symbols of achievement showing participation in this special event. Most importantly, they're a gateway to hardware, introducing many students to PCB design and manufacturing for the first time.

Our CampCard design, available at https://github.com/jai-git4208/camp-card, features custom PCB artwork with Campfire branding, space for attendee names and event details, high-quality finishes suitable for wearing throughout the event, and professional design files ready for manufacturing. We need approximately 100 CampCards to ensure every participant receives one. These cards will be distributed during opening ceremonies and worn throughout the 24-hour event.

Why CampCards Matter

For many of our attendees, this will be their first exposure to hardware design and PCB manufacturing. By holding a professionally-made PCB in their hands, they'll see that hardware isn't scary or inaccessible – it's something they can learn and create too. The CampCards bridge the gap between software (game development) and hardware (physical products), showing students the full spectrum of what's possible when you're a maker.
