AEROFEG Aerodesing

The AEROFEG, Aerodesign Team from UNESP - São Paulo State University - Guaratinguetá, is a student engineering team dedicated to the design, development, and manufacturing of radio-controlled aircraft for national and international competitions, especially SAE Brasil AeroDesign.

Founded in 2006 and coordinated by Prof. Dr. Marcos Valério Ribeiro, AEROFEG has built a strong tradition in aerospace engineering education, combining theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience. Over the years, the team has earned more than 25 awards, including recognitions for structural efficiency, payload capacity, aircraft performance, and presentation excellence.

Among its main achievements, AEROFEG is Champion of the 2016 SAE AeroDesign East (World Championship) edition, competing against top university teams from different countries. This accomplishment highlights the technical level, innovation, and engineering excellence developed by the team.

Our work goes far beyond building an aircraft. Each season, we go through a complete engineering cycle that includes:

Conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design

Structural analysis and optimization

Manufacturing of composite and metallic components

Development of onboard electronic systems

Ground and flight testing

In 2026 we plan to conduct flight tests using telemetry and onboard circuits, with sensors and systems that allow us to extract valuable information from the aircraft, useful for refining the design and improving the conceptual stage of the competition; for this we will use PCB, For this, we rely on the assistance of PCBWay.
