Z80 Bus ColecoVision Module Prototype
Jumper J5 & I/O Mapping
Base I/O Address Selection (Jumper J5)
Function: Used to select the base I/O address for the module.
Default Setting ($FC / $FF): Place jumpers on all positions of J5, except for the 2nd position.
Read/Write Register Mapping
The module routes signals dynamically based on the Z80 Read (RD) and Write (WR) cycles:
Write Operations (Audio Out): Sends data directly to the dual SN76489 sound chips.
Right Channel (R): Write to base address (Default: $FC)
Left Channel (L): Write to base address + 3 (Default: $FF)
Read Operations (Joystick In): Reads data directly from the joystick buffer chip. (Note: Keyboard input is not supported).
Joystick 1: Read from base address (Default: $FC)
Joystick 0: Read from base address + 3 (Default: $FF)
