Stephen Smith of projectspeccy.com sought to investigate how Multiface type interfaces work and see if he could re-create one from the hardware itself. He chose to work on the Multiface 128 since it is compatible with the 48K/128K and +2 models of Spectrum.

This is a 1:1 recreation of the original hardware and retains all the original features and any bugs that may have existed back in the day! The only modification is the addition of ceramic disc capacitors for decoupling - Best practice!

The board was developed by lovingly disassembling an original unit and tracing out the circuit manually. It has been fully tested and works as expected.
