Description
Analog to Digitial Converter (ADC) 14 bit SPI breakout board based on MCP33151
I needed an inexpensive SPI based breakout board for 14 bit ADC. This higher resolution is for an audio Volt per octave board, where 12 bits wasn't accurate enough.
I couldn't find any affordable ADC BoBs beyond 12 bits so I drew one up myself.
In short, the MCP33151 is a great choice for makers: it is inexpensive, easy to use, and super easy to program.
The BoB in this project has necessary 1206 SMD filter capacitors and fits into a 14 pin DIP socket. The main IC is MSOP so some familiarity with soldering SMD parts is necessary.
