Lipo / Li-ion charger
A LiPo / Li-ion charger is a device designed to safely recharge lithium-based batteries
It controls the charging process to prevent overheating and overcharging
Most chargers use a constant-current and constant-voltage method to protect the battery
During the first stage, the charger supplies a steady current to raise the battery voltage
Once the battery approaches its maximum voltage, the charger switches to constant-voltage mode
In this stage, the current gradually decreases as the battery becomes full
Typical Li-ion and LiPo cells are charged up to about 4.2 volts per cell
Good chargers include safety features such as short-circuit protection and thermal monitoring
Some models also provide cell balancing for multi-cell battery packs
Overall, a LiPo / Li-ion charger ensures efficient and safe charging for modern rechargeable batteries
