I created a hexagonal PCB with many WS2812B LEDs, 144 in total, for which I thought of placing about ten PCBs in a panel. The goal is to create a more animated and interactive panel, these LEDs will be controlled by a microcontroller, maybe an ATMega328. Then, I can build a software routine or add a button to cycle through the lighting modes. In addition to the PCB design and programming the MCU, I must also add the need to build enclosures for the PCBs, which will require 3D design, probably the most convenient solution for those who own a 3D printer.

The project may seem simple, but it involves a lot of time allocated for design, then comes manual work, because not everything can be done with a mouse (😅).

Let's not forget that these LEDs can consume quite a lot of current, so think about the end application and use a 5V power supply with 8A-15A as appropriate.

PCB dimensions: 116.5mm*100mm

Two layers, I recommend soldering all power wires to the bottom PCB.

I also recommend white color for PCB and white package LEDs as well.
