The purpose of this board is to replace a large, expensive VBUS capacitor with easier and cheaper ones. There are three in series and three in parallel. I used six 1200uF, 250V capacitors to form a total of one large 1800uF, 500V capacitor, but you can use even larger capacitors; just make sure they're the same width (30mm). The height doesn't matter. We also have two large terminal blocks to support the high current required by a small DRSSTC, in my case a 60N65 SMD half-bridge. The board has an AC input and a DC output. The recommended rectifier diode is at least 15A. I recommend the KBPC, as it's very inexpensive and supports 50A.
