This is the DIY pocket-sized game console that you can take with you anywhere you go. It is cheap and simple to make. I used common components from aliexpress. Everything is design with KiCAD and FreeCAD.

Make the game controller

You can get the PCB and all the components and solder them. You need to be careful with the SMD buttons but the rest should be easy

Prepare the Raspberry Zero

• Intall the Retropie image

You can download it from here

• Install the gpionext package

Here is the github link. You then will need to configure all the buttons on the game controller with the command "gpionext config". You will have the result like this at the end

3D print the support

The STL file the support is attachecd. You will need 2 of them and M2 screws and nuts

Assemble and test

You can now mount everything together. It should be very straight forward. Then you can plug in the HDMI and power supply cable to test.
