The Software Defined Motor Driver (SDMD)
This is a dual brushed motor driver with an extremely low cost BOM. It was designed because I couldn't find any dual brushed motor drivers that fit my cost and quality specifications. It takes 4 input pins, with 3 being a standard RC connector and the remaining 1 being a single RC signal line. It can drive 2 motors at around 3A each, with current limiting engaging at this 3A limit. It's considered "software defined" because you can just plug this straight into the Arduino IDE through a 6-pin ISP and program it like an Arduino board, setting your own software throttle limits, functions, etc.
