- Two pieces of 25-volt 1000 uf capacitors (51 x 30 mm)
- One piece of 50mm high-frequency ferrite core for a transformer
Instructions for Ferrite Core Transformer Winding
Primary Winding: - Use 20 AWG wire. - Wind 4 pieces 18-inch pieces for Yellow (Y).
and Red (R) four pieces. Attach R to R and Y to Y.
Secondary Winding: - Use 20 AWG wire. - Wind three 74-inch pieces for Yellow (Y).
and Red (R) three pieces. Attach R to R and Y to Y.
💡 Lengthen the secondary winding to boost output voltage.
Ferrite Core:
A 50 x 20 x 10 mm high-frequency green ferrite core that is appropriate for high-power DC-DC step-up converters is included in this kit. This kind of core's high magnetic permeability and low power loss at high frequencies make it perfect for use in SMPS (Switched Mode Power Supplies).
Important Points:
In circuits for high-frequency power supplies, green ferrite cores are recommended.
Excellent for creating transformers that are both powerful and small.
For optimal performance and efficiency, make sure the winding is tight.
Usage Advice:
12V DC input voltage (from a battery or DC PSU)
±50V DC dual rail output voltage
When connecting a load, use the appropriate gauge wire.
To prevent MOSFET heating or voltage drop, make sure the windings are tight and the connections are made correctly.
- Use two separate heat sinks: • Q1, Q2, Q3 → One heat sink (35mm wide)
- Q4, Q5, Q6 → Another heat sink (35mm wide)
- Leave a small air gap between the two heat sinks.
- ⚠️ Do NOT connect the two heat sinks together to avoid short circuits.
