This preamplifier is based on Rod Elliott's project #2 on his ESP website, which is linked below. Using NE5532 (or any opamp of your choice, really) opamps, giving reasonably low-noise characteristics, makes assembly simple and a breeze. It features bass and treble tone controls, a balance control as well as a volume control.
