Green Pill Nano: 1 uA sleep current, 10x RAM, real debugging, Arduino Nano Form Factor
The original Arduino Nano is a classic, but it’s showing its age. Between its 32KB Flash limit, 2KB RAM, and a power-hungry 15mA sleep current, it’s nearly impossible to use for modern, long-term IoT sensor nodes or advanced battery-powered projects.
I designed the Green Pill Nano to be the ultimate upgrade. It maintains the familiar Pin-Compatible footprint but introduces massive performance leaps:
- True Ultra-Low Power: Achieves a 1μA sleep current, allowing it to run for years on a single coin cell or ambient light.
- Pro Performance: 10x more RAM and 4x more Flash than the standard Nano.
- Real Debugging: Integrated SWD support, moving beyond the "Serial.println()" guessing game to real-time hardware debugging.
- Built to Last: Features a modern USB-C connector and full hardware protection (ESD, EMI, Overcurrent, and Reverse Polarity).
The Green Pill Nano isn't just a dev board; it’s a high-efficiency engine for the next generation of "set-and-forget" battery-powered devices.
This is an independent project designed for compatibility with the Arduino Nano ecosystem.
