This project is a handy CR2032 battery adapter I've designed for situations when you need a CR2032 battery but don't have one on hand.

It’s made from two stacked 1.6 mm PCB pieces, providing an easy way to use a micro-USB connection to simulate a CR2032 power source.

I've included an AMS1117 voltage regulator, which outputs 3.3V, because for most of the devices will work just fine.

Just keep in mind that if your device requires a maximum of 3V, you may want to swap the AMS1117 for an appropriate low-dropout (LDO) regulator to avoid any compatibility issues.

ASSEMBLY :

Break the PCB and solder the parts marked with asterisk ( * ) together.

You will have to solder those inner parts together. They correspond to negative side of the "battery".

I would suggest to apply some solder on the side with mUSB (and AMS 1117) and then place the other part on top of it and use a soldering iron with a sharp tip and insert it into those bigger holes and wait couple of seconds until de solder from beneath will melt.

Please also notice that this kind of adapter only works with battery holders that have the positive (+) connector on top not on the side.
